Prior to attending Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, David gained valuable experience in the insurance industry as a commercial underwriter, where he honed his skills in managing maritime personal injury and property damage claims.

Throughout his legal career, David has focused on maritime law, representing maritime employers, vessel owners, and insurers in various matters. He has extensive experience in personal injury and insurance coverage litigation, including a secondment to a Lloyd’s of London syndicate, where he provided U.S. litigation advice as in-house counsel. Now a valued member of the Voorhies Law Firm, David continues to provide exceptional legal representation to his clients.

David is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
